First, I would like to briefly talk about the history of sweatshirts.
RUSSELL ATHLETIC was started in 1902 by Benjamin Russell. Initially, the company produced athletic wear, and in 1920, his son Russell Jr. suggested that the sweatshirts be improved from wool to cotton.
This is said to be the origin of sweatshirts.
Sweatshirts are probably something that everyone owns at least once these days, but they were originally developed as athletic wear, not for fashion.
This sweatshirt has such a long history, but this time J.PRESS has created the ``STAR & STRIPES CREW/HOODIE'', which has been updated to fit the current times while retaining the original details.
[About materials]
We use 100% Supima cotton, which is said to be the world's three major cotton. Supima cotton is about 40% stronger than regular cotton, and it absorbs colors easily, so the texture and fading of colors is very good. It also feels so good to the touch that when you compare regular cotton and Supima cotton, you can tell the difference even if you are blindfolded.
Furthermore, since it is knitted closer together than usual (increased density), the mesh is neatly aligned, resulting in a fabric with a firm texture and gloss.
【design】
Basically, these sweatshirts have prints, and rarely embroidery, but this time we have adopted patches. The motif of the patch is the Stars and Stripes design, and there are two in one set. The design was adapted from old American flag materials and brought into modern style.
[Silhouette and size]
The silhouette has an 80's- style voluminous body, sleeves, and balloon feel toward the hem, and the sleeves and body width are both larger.
