J.PRESS ORIGINALS - HIGH TWIST DENIM

This time, we will introduce high twist denim.

Denim can be worn in any season except midsummer, so if you find a good one, you'll buy it all year round.
High twist denim is a standard J.PRESS item that is updated little by little every season.
This season, the number of items and colors have been added, and the details have changed slightly.

Let's start with the material .

Made of 100 % cotton thread that is tightly twisted (strongly twisted thread). By doing so, it has a dry touch, and the fabric itself has a hardness, giving it a structured form.
We also created a new white denim this time. This is a new color and is made of a different material from the indigo that has been used since last season.
If the yarn is not bleach-dyed, pieces of cotton leaves and stems will remain on the wound surface. This is called cotton scum, and most of the cotton scum is removed during the process before dyeing, but this time I purposely left some cotton scum and made it unbleached to express the feel of the natural material. Even though it's called white denim, it's not pure white, it's unbleached, so I think it's easier to mix it up with your outfits.

Now, let's introduce the items.

・HIGH TWIST DENIM VARSITY JACKET

The design is based on vintage, with leather on the shoulders as a reference. This time, the ribs make it easier to move around the arm and make it easier to put on and take off. You can wear it casually by wearing a sweatshirt hoodie inside, or you can wear it neatly tied up. Another point is that instead of snaps, the original tuck buttons with the J.PRESS stamp are used.

・HIGH TWIST DENIM COVER ALL

The design has changed in two ways from last season. It has raglan sleeves and a leather pocket on the chest. Last season it was a set-in, but it seems that raglan sleeves were common in classic details from the 1930s , and last season it was a set-in, but this time we have adopted raglan sleeves. . The raglan sleeves are made large with consideration to the movement of the sleeves, so using this firm material gives it a powerful look, and I think it creates a very modern atmosphere. In terms of detail, last time there was a flap on the pocket, but this time there is not.

・HIGH TWIST DENIM MILITARY TROUSERS

This is a continuing type. The silhouette and texture go very well together, and since the material is a little hard, we recommend rolling it up rather than cushioning it, or wearing it without cushioning. I think it gives off a beautiful silhouette and emphasizes the hard material, making it look cool to wear. We also recommend wearing it as a set with VARSITY JACKET , COVER ALL, or IMPRESTORE x J.PRESS ORIGINALS DENIM JACKET .

・5P JEANS

On the other hand, wide pants are becoming popular and I think everyone has become a staple, but I think there are some people who have recently been thinking about wearing something with a fresh silhouette.
This time, flare pants are newly added. The silhouette is similar to Wrangler's Launcher and Staple. It's nice and refreshing to see it applied to denim. We also recommend pairing it with a blazer or a snug-fitting cruise sweatshirt.
